As businesses grow, so too do their security needs. This is a simple truth that Saferoad – a company providing products and services to improve safety on the roads – has absolutely found to be true.
In 2020, Saferoad contacted Globeteam wanting to strengthen their internal competences and security preparedness. The goal was to improve their ability to handle both cybersecurity incidents and other operational disruptions at physical locations as well.
Globeteam has since delivered both strategic and operational security services for Saferoad with these aims in mind. At a strategic level, Globeteam has helped them with consulting on and establishing a security model that matches the organisation’s risk appetite and business needs – including preparation of contingency plans, crisis management and business continuity scenarios. At an operational level, Globeteam has been involved in the establishment of a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
I've worked with many consultants over the years. It's rare to find one who can talk business and at the same time be completely immersed in IT technology. But Globeteam can do just that. And we benefit from the fact that their advice and deliveries are based on a best practice approach, which is very important to us. Because all the knowledge and experience Globeteam has in the security area is available to us through the collaboration.
Stig Aastrup, Head of Group IT at Saferoad
One of Saferoad’s key lessons learnt has been the importance of linking the security strategy to both finance and management. Asking questions like, what is the real cost if a factory or system is down for a day? What are the consequences for customers and overall operations? These are the types of issues that management is now actively involved in, so they can help make informed decisions in any critical situation.
