Globeteam recruits new managing director from Netcompany
Danish consultancy firm Globeteam has appointed Andreas Strandbygaard as its new managing director overseeing the firm’s Danish activities. Andreas Strandbygaard comes from a managerial position at Netcompany and will join Globeteam on 1 February.
Before working at Netcompany, Andreas Strandbygaard was with consultancy firm Accenture for an extended period. He has a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen.
The appointment means that Andreas Strandbygaard joins the management at Globeteam which also includes CEO Claus Moldow and Project Manager Morten Strunge Nielsen, the firm’s two founders.
“We’re setting up this new organisation as a result of the launch of a growth strategy in the Nordics. This means that I’ll be focusing my efforts on supporting the strategy on a more general level. For this reason, I’m incredibly pleased that we have been able to attract a resource like Andreas Strandbygaard. He’s quite simply the perfect match,” says Claus Moldow.
The new managing director is also looking forward to getting started in his new role.
“I’ve followed Globeteam from the sidelines in recent years. It’s a unique business with a special culture and a special concept that means that the company is up there with the very best when it comes to tackling IT and management projects for both private and public sector enterprises and clients. I’m really pleased to be joining Globeteam,” says Andreas Strandbygaard.
Since the firm was founded in 2001, Globeteam has been able to create a business in continuous growth with very high levels of client satisfaction by combining a unique business model with professional expertise that ensures commitment, focus and quality in its client offering.
The firm’s business model is a cross between a traditional consultancy and a freelance model where each consultant is self-employed with his or her own business registration number. Consultants receive a significant amount of the revenue that they themselves generate while also being able to enjoy the strong professional and social network that Globeteam has to offer.
Over the years, this unique business model has ensured that Globeteam has been able to attract some of the best IT and business consultants in the industry.
Globeteam’s main shareholder is Norvestor, which is a leading Nordic private equity firm focusing on the mid-market segment.
Norvestor has offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Luxembourg. Norvestor seeks to invest in medium-sized growth enterprises in the Nordic market, enterprises that have the potential to achieve a leading Nordic or international position, usually through organic growth, acquisitions across fragmented industries and geographical expansion.
In addition to Norvestor, Globeteam’s shareholders include family-owned Kirk Kapital, the investment company owned by the Kirk Johansen family. The Kirk Johansen family are descendants of Ole Kirk Christiansen who founded LEGO.
Claus Moldow and Morten Strunge Nielsen, the two founders of Globeteam, each continue to own approximately ten percent of the firm.
